I’ve been pretty obsessed with old school skateboards for a couple years now. Below are some of my faves. Some of these go for over a grand! Wish I had em all.

I had the chance to work with Satellite on a Snowboard Mag Supershops Collection New Era Colab. Satellite was one of 4 shops chosen to design a n New Era for the feature. We went with the original red, white and blue Nuggets colorway and the classic CU Colorado font on the bottom. The back has a #7 for the number of years Satellite has been in business. They should be available soon at both Satellite and Installation.

Cool skate vid from the 4 man collective Salazar Films. Salazar was founded in 2008 by Jesse Savath, Bienviendo Cruz, Jeff Petry, and Nathan Drillot as a motion picture collective focusing on music videos and narrative films. All four had been working separately inside the industry in various disciplines. Recognizing natural shared instincts and aesthetics the decision was made to stop competing against each other and join forces as a collective.

Started a little over 6 years ago by Devin Barrette and Mike Giles Furni began as a “custom” furniture operation. Tired of working for the “man” they decided to go it alone. Devins cabinet making skills and my interest in simple, modern design got them a good start.

“These days were are shifting focus more and more to exploring and creating our own designs, we’re still very hands on, from picking the rough lumber all the way to staining, finishing, boxing and shipping the final product. We are just a two man operation, but proud of the flexibility and control it gives us over the end product.”

Every product is interestingly named after pro skateboarders. See their full collection here. Furni Store

The guys over at the GOSK8 iphone app just informed us that the video of Erik Ellington and Geoff Rowley playing the game has been released. Dope.

We just got word from Jonathan over @ GOSK8 that two of the best skateboarders around have joined up to spread the word about the popular iPhone App (that Kimmell designed.) Here is the press realease in its full glory…
“The New Faces of GOSK8”

GOSK8 is proud to welcome onboard pro skateboarders Erik Ellington (Deathwish skateboards) and Geoff Rowley (Flip skateboards) who will serve as the new face of the company.
GOSK8 is a new iPhone application/tool for physically playing the traditional game of skate. The developers of GOSK8 have gone to great lengths to spice the game up by adding three different skill levels (basic, medium, advanced) and four obstacle options (ledge, manual, transition, flat-ground), making it the only skate application of its kind.
Rowley - “GOSK8 takes the game of S.K.A.T.E. to the next level. There are so many options with the different levels and obstacles that anyone at any level can play it.”
Ellington - “When I first downloaded GOSK8 to my iPhone I didn’t expect it to be so sick. There are hundreds of tricks depending on what level and obstacle you choose. What I really liked most is that you can play by yourself or against another skater. This is no “sit on your ass” game. You actually have to get out there and skate with GOSK8.”
Geoff and Erik will be battling it out in a series of games using the GOSK8 app. Stay tuned for videos hitting the web soon.

And until the Rowley and Ellington videos surface, here is a game played between Danny Gonzalez & Cooper Wilt.In case you missed it, read our original post on GOSK8.
