I’m headed to NYC next week and can’t wait for a Uniqlo visit.  The brand became popular in Japan in the late 90’s and currently has 760 locations there now.  The NY Soho Store is the only US location.  It’s basically a cheap American Apparel with better jeans!

Neubau Welt is an extensive encyclopedia of well over a thousand pictograms of everyday objects and obsessions large and small. They were created by designer Stefan Gandl. All of the objects shown in the book can also be found as Adobe Illustrator files on an included CD. Giving you the right to use the exclusive graphics and Neubau typefaces on your own work.

Neubau Welt contains everything any designer could possibly need but couldn’t find on Google. Unlike ClipArt, the smorgasbord of objects can be enlarged indefinitely. This also makes them extremely useful for architects and other creatives, who can integrate them into their presentations and visual models. You can also download individual sheets of images at: http://www.neubauladen.com/

Nixon is throwing down some pretty dope designs recently. One of our favorite projects is the limited edition ‘Rubber Player.’  Every month from now through June a different color is released in insanley limited quantites. The March Blue has already sold out so be sure to cop ‘em early if they catch your eye.

And for the McDonalds Happy Meal loving kid in all of us, there is the ‘Time Teller P’

You have the Guinness in the fridge, the Jameson in the freezer, and the corned beef in the oven - Don’t ruin it now with a cliche green shirt reading, “Kiss me I’m Irish”! Real men are not afraid to ditch the jeans in favor of the classic Irish kilt. Find one at a thrift store near you or buy one here, so you are ready next year.

Plus, chicks will be making bets with their friends all night to find out if you went traditional (no undies). And you will be all too happy to settle the bet back at your place…or the bathroom, screw it, it’s St. Patty’s Day.

We are all faced with this debate at some point in our daily lives. Kanye West: Ambiguous or Genius? Pink Polo’s: Ambiguous or Genius? Vodka Izze’s: Ambiguous or Genius? Well, after watching the music video for Empire of the Sun’s MGMTesque ‘Walking on a Dream,’ I really can’t choose one over the other. It’s artistically brilliant and painfully ambiguous all at once. From the fantasy land setting of Shanghai and World of Warcraft styled garb, to the infectiously catchy song itself, we (in the words of Depeche Mode) ‘just can’t get enough.’

Nautical Themed Pashmina Afghan

So, we spent the entire Presidents Day weekend searching The City for a nautical themed pashmina afghan. Aside from a few random hookups (Ain’t nothin like a BK girl..) and some fresh Uniqlo gear, we came up empty handed.

Turns out the SNL crew couldn’t find one either, so they went bespoke. That’s right, they bought a navy pashmina, sewed on some anchors, and SPLASH - Fuck stores, they custom made this motherfucker!

If you are slightly less ambitious, a quick Ebay search will turn up some quality nautical themed silk scarves..because afghans are so 2007.
