New vid for Passion Pit’s “Little Secrets” from the album Manners. They’ve managed to capture the attention of a lot of people from varied musical tastes. Make good music and that will happen!
The film Typeface focuses on a rural Midwestern museum and print shop where international artists meet retired craftsmen and together navigate the convergence of modern design and traditional technique.
GODDAMN our fella AntHull is killing it lately. Here are AntHull’s own words on his latest interview with Donnis…
ATL-reppin’, MC Donnis spent a lot of 2009 climbing the hip-hop ranks with live performance videos, profuse freestyles, and attention-getting tracks that leaked much to our delight. Having a mixtape with 10 Deep ain’t a bad thing either, just ask Kid Cudi and Wale.
All this grindin’ brought Donnis a deal to release the single “Gone”, with a video under A-Tracks, Fool’s Gold label. I recently caught up with Donnis to talk music, plans for 2010, his fashion game, and how he is definitely no longer the underdog. -AntHull
Cool skate vid from the 4 man collective Salazar Films. Salazar was founded in 2008 by Jesse Savath, Bienviendo Cruz, Jeff Petry, and Nathan Drillot as a motion picture collective focusing on music videos and narrative films. All four had been working separately inside the industry in various disciplines. Recognizing natural shared instincts and aesthetics the decision was made to stop competing against each other and join forces as a collective.

Imagine a magazine cover converting into a video highlight of that moment. It should be here in early 2010 with Apple’s release of the Tablet. Basically an enlarged iPhone, the main question for developers is what operating system will the device run. A combination of OSX and the mobile iphone OS? It’s awesome to imagine how everything from textbooks to comics could be done in this interface. Watch a Sports Illustrated demo below.
Apple recently had several executives from the Time magazine group at their Cupertino’s campus, where they were asked to present their ideas on the future of publishing. Several mockups of magazines were present in interactive form. It is presumed that more talks took place after the introduction and investigatory meeting. Some publishers also considering Adobe Air as a competing option for digital magazines, but without a revenue/distribution system that iTunes has, it seems unlikely. Look for Time Inc to release many of there publications on the tablet. (via Gizmodo)
