I’ll admit resisted playing Rock Band for a bit but soon gave in after one game playing drums. So fun. This is a great example of the use of multi-player mode for mobile gaming which supports four players over Bluetooth. The $10 app lets you invite Facebook friends, and choose guitar, bass, drums or vocals. 20 tracks are included. Pretty awesome.

We thought Mad Decent was a fun app, but this new one that was just put out to accompany the release of Diplo and Switch’s new dancehallcentric project Major Lazer looks to be stepping up the game and expanding what is possible on the handheld device of our generation.  Peep the possibilities.

posted on 16.07.09 Web 2.bro - New Snow Teasers

I’ve been meaning to start this lil’ column for a while now, so here we go.

It’s hot as hell these days, and if you aren’t living the creek life then you better find a coffee shop of movie theater that pumps their AC like Jr. is still in the White House.  Another solution is to start geeking out on the new snowboard teasers that have been flowing into our inbox like the rocky mountain waters into my can o’ banquet beer.  Here are the ones we are most excited about thus far…

Lets Go Get Lost - Isenseven My personal favorite, euro with a touch of robot food

The song is “Sushi” by Kyle Andrews. The Album “Real Blasty” is available now.
Check his site (www.myspace.com/kyleandrews) and DL the track below.

Neverland - Absinthe Films Wonder if MJ had anything to do with this title?

Black Winter - Standard The formula is standard, but the riding is fucking insane

Elektro - Alterna Theses guys are rad, clean look, dirty dancing

Hard to Earn - Technine No hip-hop in the teaser, I like it already

They Came From - Faktor Films Scandanavians + HD 3D = Fuck Yes!

The B - Burton If you play it backwards, its forward

Nice Try - People Crew Heavvvvvvyyyyyy Metaaaaallllll

Re:Session - TGR May not be much snowboarding, but you get the picture.  This is some heavy big mountain skiing at its best, good stoke before heading to Silverton.

Seems there is a huge resurgence of Heavy Metal, while a few are holding on to the Electro deal.  Whats your favorite?

posted on 15.07.09 BDN Upgrades...Your Coffee With The Bodum French Press!

You know that Krupps or Mr. Coffee machine sitting on your kitchen counter? It’s lame. It looks like it was designed in 1972 (it was) and it only reveals a portion of you coffee’s potential.

Enter the Bodum French Press - Your design conscious upgrade to better tasting coffee.

The french press requires coarsly ground beans, so have your local bean shop use their burr grinder. If you use a blade grinder you will get un uneven grind and some of the beans will get into your coffee when you press. Buying in small weekly increments will ensure the beans are fresh. Pour hot water over the ground beans, stir with a plastic spoon, let them soak for 4-5 minutes, press slowly, and enjoy you new favorite beverage..behind Tecate beer with salt and lime juice of course.
