I just recently was checking out XXL’s top 10 freshman in rap and came across New Orleans own Currency. He gained some exposure on various mixtapes with Lil Wayne and spent several years on Cash Money / Young Money records before leaving late last year to pursue his career via the Fly Society label. He’s been very productive of late pushin out 4 mixtapes in 4 months.
I know the fellow BDN contributors are getting sick of me hypin up this dude but I’m backing him for sure. He’s got that swagger and creativity that many of these hippidyhoppers need to take notes on.
